Suni

Nesotragus moschatus

One of Africa's smallest antelopes, standing barely 35 cm at the shoulder, the suni slips through the undergrowth almost unseen. It leaves neat piles of droppings on regular paths and freezes when disturbed before dashing off with a whistling alarm.

Did you know?

Sunis have scent glands below the eyes that they rub on twigs to mark their territory.
