A small forest dove with a strikingly white face and underparts in the male. Most often seen as a bird bursting from the path ahead of you, flashing chestnut wings, before it drops back into cover.
Did you know?
Its accelerating series of soft coos is one of the most persistent sounds of the forest interior.
