Montane Nightjar

Caprimulgus poliocephalus

A nightjar of the highland forest edge whose whistled "peeu-peeuu" call is a familiar sound at dusk. By day it sits invisible on leaf litter or along a branch.

Photographed this species at Oloolua?

We are building a photo record of the forest's wildlife and would love to feature your picture, with credit.
