Jackson's Chameleon

Trioceros jacksonii

The three-horned chameleon of the Kenyan highlands and the most-recorded reptile around the trail. Males carry three forward-pointing horns like a tiny Triceratops; females usually have none. It clings to shrubs and low branches, changing colour with mood and temperature.

Did you know?

Unlike most chameleons it gives birth to live young, up to 30 at a time.
